Our products

We provide wools for combed and carded spinning for knitting and weaving, blankets, furnishings and feltings. Particularly, we supply Tops, Open tops, Scoured Wool of all origins, Carbonized Wool and wool blends. Raw Noils and Carbonized Noils. Combing, spinning and weaving wool wastes.

Traceability

We buy greasy wool in Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and South America and for Australian origin wool we pay close attention to breeders fulfilling the National Wool Declaration. Our customers can choose from wools that are:

  • Non Mulesed (NM), from farms where mulesing is not practiced  
  • Ceased-Mulesing (CM), from farms where mulesing is no longer practiced 
  • Pain Relief (PR), from farms where animals are treated with anaesthetic

Quality Control

We have a certified Interwoollabs internal laboratory for measuring the fineness with OFDA and Airflow and the length of the wool tops with ALMETER. We also have a laboratory to control the wool conditioning. All materials processed in our plant or in outside processing facilities are subject to checks in our laboratory to ensure their quality.

 

Certifications

Pantex has been awarded with the Certification of the Textile and Health Association, which is the technical reference of the National Chamber for Italian Fashion for "chemical" sustainability. Consequently, the wools produced and commercialized by Pantex complies with all the requirements of the National Chamber for Italian Fashion and particularly they also meet the most challenging requirements listed in the "Advanced" column of the same Guidelines.

 

Sustainability

More and more consumers believe that sustainability is a key value in their purchasing choices and our company pays the utmost attention to animal welfare in the supply of animal fibres in respect to the environment and social concerns. Where possible we use certified wool with recognized international standards and we avoid the use of animal fibres from risk of extinction species.

In the transformation of our wool, we pay close attention to choosing plants where:

  • the consumption of energy and natural resources, the polluting emissions and, where possible, the reuse of process waters are minimized.
  • the use of harmful chemicals as well as the risk to the environment and workers is minimized.
  • it buys energy from renewable energy sources
  • waste production is reduced and recovery of rejects and packaging materials and other recyclables are used. 
  • the fundamental rights of workers are respected and they are not exposed to situations that could pose a risk to their health and safety. 

Environmental responsibilities and sustainability is very important to our company and it is part of our business philosophy. We seek to achieve this through our commitment to using renewable energy and extend this business practice throughout our supply chain and to our customer base.
